The Navman PiN (Personal Interactive Navigation) combines the latest
GPS technology with elegant design to deliver the ultimate cable-free
navigation solution.
The PiN 100 is a Windows CE Pocket PC with an integrated GPS unit so
your organizer and navigation system are combined in one. The PiN 100
comes packaged with the SmartST Version 2 software, which includes
Navman's 3D map so you can view the road as it is ahead of you. SmartST
includes maps for the United States including Alaska and Hawaii as well
as detailed maps for Canada. The maps can be loaded to the internal
64MB of memory (this is also used for your pocket pc applications) or
to an optional SD card through the SD card expansion slot (Up to a
512MB datacard). Once the maps are loaded, you can search the database
for your destination by choosing an address or by a specific point of
interest, set it as your destination and the PiN will guide you safely
to your destination. The PiN 100 will also allow you to customize your
trip with the ability to calculate your route by the quickest or
shortest route, and also with its 'Avoid Areas' function, allowing you
to select specific areas you want to avoid. If you make a wrong turn,
don't worry the PiN 100 will get you on the right track with its
automatic 'Back-on-track' re-routing.
The PiN also functions as fully capable Pocket PC with its Windows CE
operating system and its ability to work with most Pocket PC
applications. The PiN is packed with many key features including the
3.5" Color Transflective LCD Display, MP3 Playback, User voice
Recording (Mono), Touch Panel Screen, Memory Card Expansion Slot,
Lithium Ion Battery and USB port connectivity, delivering all the
benefits of a top of the range Pocket PC.
Navman recommends the purchase of
an additional 64MB SD card or higher for Map storage.
