Garmin has teamed up with XM WX Satellite Weather to bring real time
graphical weather their 3000 series chartplotters. The GDL 30/30A will
easily connect to the Marine Netwok Port on the back of the 3006/3010
to send real time weather information that will overlay on your chart
display. The GDL 30/30A will relay a continuous transmission of 20
different types of graphical weather information that can be overlaid
on the chartplotter, including:
Current conditions
City forecasts
NEXRAD Radar with precipitation
type (animated, high resolution)
Surface air pressure
Surface analysis (Highs, Lows
and fronts)
Lightning
Storm cell size, speed and
direction
Hurricane track
Visibility forecast
Wind speed

The GDL 30A will also allow you to receive XM radio as well as the real
